Welcome!
I believe that genuine collaboration and personalized care are at the heart of helping you reach your goals. I specialize in working through trauma, substance use, and the unexpected challenges life brings our way, drawing on Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused approaches to meet you exactly where you are. I have a deep passion for working with adults and older adults, and I warmly welcome teenagers and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we'll navigate life's challenges one step at a time.
WORK EXPERIENCE
I bring experience across a variety of community and clinical settings, including mental health centers, outpatient care, home companion services, and early childhood education, spanning both Texas and New Jersey. I currently provide counseling support in a community mental health setting, continuing to build my well-rounded foundation in supporting individuals across the lifespan.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
I hold a B.S. in Psychology, a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the state of Texas, currently supervised by Dana R. W. Brown, M.S., LPC-S.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
When I'm not in the counseling room, you'll likely find me spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, or savoring the small everyday moments that remind me why genuine connection matters. I'm fluent in both English and Filipino, and I bring that same warmth and cultural appreciation into every session. I truly believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood, and I'd be honored to offer that to you.
WHAT IS A LPC- ASSOCIATE?
An LPC-Associate is a counseling professional who has completed a master's degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited program and has passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE), but is still in the process of completing the required supervised clinical experience hours to become a fully licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. Under the regulations of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, LPC-Associates work under the supervision of a board-approved LPC-Supervisor while accumulating the necessary 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience. During this time, they can provide counseling services in various settings such as mental health clinics, private practices, or community organizations. LPC-Associates often specialize in areas like individual counseling, couples therapy, or substance abuse treatment, gaining valuable hands-on experience while working towards full LPC licensure
