Welcome!

My name is Ericka Goudeau and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe deeply in the ability for people to change, renew, achieve, and create an envisioned, actualized life.

I utilize mindfulness techniques as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic, and motivational enhancement strategies to provide people with the tools to make positive and life sustaining changes.I truly believe one of the bravest things a person can do is to take the initial step in order to begin to understand your own story.

As your chosen therapist, I will join and support you on your journey of healing and growth, creating a safe place to embark upon the risk-taking and vulnerability required for creating the better version of yourself that you are capable of achieving. Your path towards authenticity combined with my therapeutic skills will create a partnership of empowerment, adaptability, and resiliency.

WORK EXPERIENCE

I am clinically trained to provide a holistic, cognitive approach to mastering challenges in areas including depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, grief/loss, career exploration, spirituality, gender identity, substance abuse, as well as chronic mood disorders. I also specialize in assessing for areas of improvement and providing healing relief related to the multifaceted, unique personhood of each individual I work with.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

My formal training includes a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University, Master of Science in Library Science  from University of North Texas as well as a Bachelor of Psychology from Dillard University
