GROUP THERAPY

“This is catharsis. The act taps in, meets them where they are. It’s confusing, hollow. So incredibly sad. And so we’ll stay inside it a while. Not picking it apart. Not interrogating the hungry pain body, but just confirming. Yes. This place feels exactly this way. This is where you are. I get it.” ― Laurie Perez

It can be challenging to think about facing life's problems alone. I understand that joining a group of strangers can feel intimidating at first, but research has shown group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not.

Groups can serve as an excellent  support network as well as reiteration that other can share similar experiences to our own. Oftentimes, we may feel like we are the only one struggling, when in fact we are not.
