WHAT TO EXPECT

Let's Talk, I'll Listen counseling services is a mental health private practice dedicated to providing counseling services that improve the lives of individuals, couples and families.

Counseling provides the opportunity for change, growth and self-discovery in the context of a safe, supportive, and therapeutic relationship.

The process of change will, in many ways, be unique to your particular situation. Therapy sessions usually last 50 minutes. Individuals who are experiencing a difficult challenge can request more time per session or more than one session per week. Extended Sessions (90 minutes) are available for individual, couples, family and telehealth therapy by request and if need is determined by you and your therapist.

Initial counseling sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. The goal of this initial assessment is to provide you with some first impressions of what our work will include and a plan to follow.

All clients that choose to work with us must be a resident of Texas and living in the state, per our licensing regulations (this doesn’t include temporary traveling out of state).

We kindly ask you that you complete all intake forms prior to the first session. Therapy is a commitment to a better, healthier you!

CANCELLATION
POLICY

Please remember to cancel or reschedule your session with your therapist at least 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for a $30 charge if cancellation is less than 24 hours.  It is our policy is to secure your appointment with a credit card.

There is no fee to cancel or reschedule for any reason prior to the 24 hour time frame. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively by your therapist for you.

If you do not attend your scheduled initial appointment/ Intake session, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible for a $30 no show/late cancel fee.

VISIT FEES

Prior to receiving services we provide a billing disclosure and service agreement. We also offer a sliding scale for clients that either do not have health insurance or access to benefits that would cover the cost of counseling.

An initial over the phone or video consultation is offered at no charge in order to answer your questions about counseling, insurance, fees and arranging an appointment.

Once therapy has begun, telephone conversations lasting longer than 10 minutes may be charged at a prorated hourly rate.

Payment is due at time of commitment via check, cash or credit card or gift card.

Insurance companies require diagnosis and treatment planning which can dictate treatment. We choose to provide a private pay scale in which you can attend as frequent as you would like while also limiting released information as well as a sliding scale based on your household income.

INSURANCE

We currently work in-network  with some insurance companies. (Aetna, Molina, United Health Care, Cigna and Optum).Be sure to  check with your insurance provider for the details of your coverage.

If you would like our office to verify your insurance, please contact us at least 3 days prior to your scheduled intake appointment. If we do not receive your insurance information  3 day prior to you 1st appointment you will be required to pay the full amount of the intake session.

As a courtesy to you, if we are not listed as a provider with your insurance company, we can provide you with an "Out-of-Network provider" super bill that you will submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, with this option you are still required to pay the full cost of session at the time of services. Each insurance plan is different; therefore, it is recommended that you contact the company directly with any questions about. reimbursement.

SLIDING SCALE FEE SCHEDULE

We believe money should never stand in the way of attaining quality therapy services. I also recognize that my clients are adults and are aware of what they can afford to pay.

In order to provide services to people of all backgrounds and economic situations, I have developed a sliding scale for those clients that either do not have health insurance or access to benefits that would cover the cost of counseling.

The sliding scale is based on total family income. Fees are due at the time of the session.
