WHAT TO EXPECT
Let's Talk, I'll Listen counseling services is a mental health private practice dedicated to providing counseling services that improve the lives of individuals, couples and families.
Counseling provides the opportunity for change, growth and self-discovery in the context of a safe, supportive, and therapeutic relationship.
The process of change will, in many ways, be unique to your particular situation.
Initial counseling sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. The goal of this initial assessment is to provide you with some first impressions of what our work will include and a plan to follow.
Typically, we will set up a specific day and time to meet weekly.
To get the maximum benefit from therapy, I recommend weekly appointments, but under some circumstances meeting every other week is a possibility.
I offer online and Face to Face sessions.
Our sessions are confidential, and I adhere to all rules of confidentiality. I have an obligation to respect your right to confidentiality concerning the information you share within my clinical practice.
Confidentiality of client information is governed by federal law (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and by state law.
The laws of the State of Texas impose some limitations to your rights of confidentiality
My office billing rate is $135 for the initial assessment visit and $120 for each subsequent visit.
An initial over the phone consultation is offered at no charge in order to answer your questions about counseling, insurance, fees and Shannon Martin, LPC as well as arranging an appointment.
Once therapy has begun, telephone conversations lasting longer than 10 minutes may be charged at a prorated hourly rate.
We currently accept Aetna, Molina, United Health Care, Cigna and Optum insurance.
If you insurance carrier is not listed and you would like to submit a claim to your insurance company We can provide you with a Superbill (a receipt for services) .
Be sure to check with your insurance provider for the details of your coverage.
SLIDING SCALE FEE SCHEDULE
I believe money should never stand in the way of attaining quality therapy services. I also recognize that my clients are adults and are aware of what they can afford to pay.
In order to provide services to people of all backgrounds and economic situations, I have developed a sliding scale for those clients that either do not have health insurance or access to benefits that would cover the cost of counseling.
The sliding scale is based on total family income. Fees are due at the time of the session.
I specialize in treating:
Trauma and Abuse
PTSD/ Complex PTSD
Coping with life changes.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
