I have experiencing working with individuals living with anxiety, depression, and adjustment concerns

Establishing and building therapeutic rapport is a priority to help the client feel safe and support. My approach is client focused and I hope to empower each person I can connect with and teach new tools they need to improve their mental health and feel better about themselves. I create an inclusive and safe space for clients of all paths of life to feel comfortable and supported. As a Latina, I can acknowledge how culture plays a role in every individual’s life. My past work experience focused on children and families with severe trauma histories I utilized CBT, TFCBT, Solution Focused therapy and ACT therapy principles. My goal as a therapist is to assist clients in seeing change from the initial session. I belief that together we can make the change you want to see and work towards healing.

I am currently and LMSW in supervision to obtain my LCSW. In my graduate program I interned with the Children’s Assessment Center as a family advocate. After obtaining my degree I worked as a Clinical Counselor at a residential facility with adolescent boys traveling unaccompanied to the US. I currently work in a private practice seeing where I provide therapy services to individual’s struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions and family trauma/conflict.

I received a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Houston-Downtown. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University. I obtained my LMSW license May 2021. I am holistic social work and utilize a systems theory approach to connect and help my clients.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog Bentley. I enjoy trying new things, hiking, and making memories.

In most cases, earning an MSW from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is enough to qualify to apply to become an LMSW. Depending on your state, there may be a licensure exam that evaluates an applicant’s understanding of key social work principles, particularly in ethics and safety. Many social workers with an MSW or LMSW have careers in case management, working in settings such as child protection agencies or government organizations evaluating eligibility for public assistance.  An LMSW is a professional license that enables a clinician to practice social work in most states. An LMSW may work in a variety of care or agency settings to deliver case management, therapy, counseling, and life-betterment services to people who need them. I am currently supervised by Emma Taylor, LCSW 57879.
